STeaP: The Tea Vodcast

Tip: Don’t Forget Your Cup!

This is what will happen if you let that forgotten cup of tea sit for too long. I feel a little better about my frequently forgotten cups of tea all over my apartment, knowing that I have never found them so horribly neglected and full of icky things.

Official tip of the day? Don’t subject your poor tea mugs to this!

i have actually left cups around for almost a week, (accidentally while i was on vacation) and there were little swimming colonies of bacteria/fungus/icky stuff, but not THAT bad. how long was that left to ferment?

I believe the description said 2 weeks. Totally crazy… I’m glad you catch the cup before it gets to that point. :)

I’m guessing that this tea had A LOT of sugar in it. Being a person who adds sugar to my tea, I know that sugar will quickly make tea grow gross things in it, but I’ve NEVER had anything like this extent show up in an old cup. YUCK!!!

I know someone who left just water in a brita pitcher in the fridge and it got moldy. We still tease her about the moldy water.
