Flowering Teas

I know that we haven’t done a flowering tea on the show yet, but I’d really like to, because they are incredibly cool to watch and are often quite tasty. Here is one particularly good video of a blooming green tea from OolongTeaHouse:

    Have you had any flowering teas that taste good? I’ve only had two (by Adagio) but they were undrinkably bad — both to me and to everybody I pushed it on. I haven’t tried enough flowering teas to make a judgment about the whole category, though….

    Personally, I think flowering teas might make for an interesting episode: they’re fun to watch, and it’s always more fun to watch you guys gag on bad tea than to drink bad tea myself. ;-)

    I’ve had some that I’ve really enjoyed, although I can’t remember the brand. I know it wasn’t Adagio though… maybe Adagio hasn’t quite hit the mark on good flowering teas. :)
