STeaP: The Tea Vodcast

STeaP Episode #16: Kensington Breakfast Blend

We are trying another Upton tea today in the form of Kensington Breakfast Blend. You’ll need a good black tea to stay up for the New Year (or at least I will).

We also introduce and show off our Christmas presents. Brandice got a TriniTEA from Adagio and we’ll see how well it preforms.

Stay tuned for our tea showdown next episode and our STeaP takes NY after that. We’ll be bringing in 2008 with a bang!

TeaToday: 1st Time TriniTEA

First time using the TriniTEA I got for Christmas. You can find the TriniTEA at Adagio.com, and look for a brief overview of what I like and don’t like about the machine when we use the TriniTEA in our New Year’s Eve episode!

Some Good and Some Bad News

Bad News: Some of our teas did not arrive in time to do the showdown for New Years, so we’ll be doing the Tea Showdown for January 7th. Sorry for the postponing, and we promise the New Year’s Eve show will still be a great one! :)

Good News: STeaP is hitting NYC in two weeks! Joe won a contest for Haydenfilms over at Viddler and has chosen yours truly to accompany him on the trip, so we’ll be filming a VERY special STeaP episode in New York City that will likely go live the week after the Tea Showdown.

So overall, mostly good news, and you’ll get two really special episodes two week in a row! :) Hope that will make it worth the wait, and don’t forget to check out our New Year’s episode, which will still be full of (hopefully) yummy teas.

STeaP Sighting

Jen sighted STeaP on a random webpage this week, which is incredibly cool. STeaP is everywhere!

Have you seen STeaP anywhere on the internet? Send us a screenshot if you do!

STeaP is on Blubrry too!

Are you into Blubrry? STeaP is on Blubrry and new episodes can be watched right in our Blubrry profile!

http://blubrry.com/steap/

Per their very cool website:

“Blubrry is a social podcasting community that connects podcast producers, advertisers and everyone looking for great independently produced content.”

For the ultimate interactive experience, we recommend Viddler (or here at the site, where we embed from Viddler) for your premium episode viewing, but we want to offer as many convenient options as possible. :)

Challenge for the New Year

I challenge each of you, our STeaP fans, to find one tea drinker you know and tell them about our site for the New Year. Make it your tea resolution for 2008, and maybe our next giveaway will have dozens of submissions and teas!

Don’t forget to watch our 2007 Tea Showdown on Monday!

Happy STeaPing,
Brandice

Tommy Dorsey – Tea for Two (Cha Cha)

Remember that Nat King Cole performance I linked to? Well this is a version you may find to be more familiar, and performed by my favorite trombonist of all time, Tommy Dorsey. I am jazz trombonist myself, so I have to say that this version may be *slightly* more tea-worthy, simply because it’s performed by my musical idol.

I promise this is the last jazz video for a while. I don’t think Joe enjoys them, and I don’t want to get booted from blogging privileges. Got any tea-worthy news or fun links? Send them our way! :)

Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays from STeaP! Here’s a Christmas Eve tea tribute from Patricius over at Viddler.com that I thought was pretty fitting. I especially like his tea enthusiasm. :) It’s Twinings, but we’ll forgive him for that in the spirit of the season.

Enjoy the holiday!

STeaP Episode #15: Calendula Flowering Tea

Happy Holidays from Joe & Brandice at STeaP! I’m very excited to share our Christmas episode with all of you. :)

STeaP got a holiday surprise from Teaposy, a shiny new tea set for two! This little number was sent to us via the wonderful people at Importika and we just had to feature it for our holiday episode. We also got a wonderful flowering tea assortment and show off one of it’s selections, Calendula.

For the holiday season, we introduce a more intimate STeaP, now with less wall and more host! If you ever wanted to find out what we’re saying during the show, now you can! Got any more annoyances with the show we should be trying to iron out? Email us at steap@steaptv.com.

Drinking Tea in Microgravity

In the event that one would ever need to eat their tea in a microgravity environment, this video demonstrates the proper techniques. Possibly the strangest tea-related video I’ve seen in a while, and not necessarily the way I would prefer to consume my favorite beverage…

Have you seen any particularly strange tea-related videos? Send me a link at brandice[at]steaptv[dot]com, and I’ll be happy to share them with the STeaPle. :)
