Today we’re trying a straight, one region Black Tea from the Assam district in India. Most Black Tea are a mix of different regions’ teas, Assam being one of many. And we try it Tippy GFOP, which is a very high grade of tea.

That’s it! In a future episode we will have to ultimate tea showdown with all of the teas being sampled blind! Brandice and Joe will rank the teas on a 1 to 10 scale and the tea with the highest score will win! If there is a tie, the disembodied voice will select the winner from the highest ranked teas. And only one entry per person, please!

Today we try the peasant tea, Genmai Cha. This green tea is unique in it’s use of popcorn and puffed rice. It’s not just for cereal anymore!

Really interesting tea that I tried a few days ago, called Pu-Erh, from Upton Teas. Very unique taste, and the tea leaves are (from what I’ve read) actually let to ferment/biodegrade before preparing. Unique tea to try!
